FAQ's
When is my payment due?
Full payment is due no later than 21 days prior to your event. We accept the following methods of payment: credit card, check, cash, and money order. There is a 3.99% check out fee added to all purchases. If you choose to pay by check or cash, we will discount you 3.99%. If you wish to pay by check, you may mail it to 134 Spark Street, Brockton, Massachusetts with your name, date of wedding and venue clearly indicated. Cash can only be accepted at our Brockton location.
Do you provide flowers for the cake?
We do not provide flowers; however, we are happy to place them for you. If you choose to use artificial flowers and want us to place them, they are to be provided to our Brockton location no later than 21 days prior to your event. If you wish for us to place fresh flowers, they must be provided to our Brockton location by noon the day before the event. It is also very common to have your florist/coordinator add the flowers to the cake after it is delivered to the venue. Please inform the Wedding Department of your decision 21 days in advance so we may tell our decorators. Please be aware that if your order reflects that your florist is placing them at the venue and flowers are delivered to the bakery, there is a possibility that we may not be able to place the flowers on your cake.
Do you provide ribbon or any other non-edible elements?
We do not provide any non-edible elements for cakes. Any ribbon, figures, gems, etc., should be provided to our Brockton location no later than 21 days prior to your event.
Will you put my topper on my cake?
Unfortunately, due to transportation reasons, we are no longer accepting toppers. We highly recommend asking your florist/coordinator to place the topper on your cake after it is delivered to the venue. **Please note: if your topper is heavy, please be sure to inform the Wedding Department so we can add extra support to your cake.
Do you provide cake stands?
Montilio’s does not provide cake stands. If you are planning to use a cake stand, please reach out to us for your cake sizing so you can purchase the appropriate stand.
When will my cake be delivered to my venue?
We schedule delivery two hours prior to the guest’s arrival. If you need a different delivery time, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Do I need to provide a final guest count?
If your cake is part of a package with your venue, we will confirm your guest count with the venue. If your cake is not part of a package, any changes in guest count need to be provided no later than 21 days prior to your event.
Can I make changes or add to my order?
If you wish to make any changes to your order, please call 508-894-8855 and choose option 2 (Wedding Department). You may also email us at weddingcakes@montilios.com. All changes must be made no later than 21 days prior to your event.
Do you offer gluten-free or vegan cake?
We do! If you wish to see a list of flavors, please refer to our list here.
Do you make grooms cakes?
Yes, we absolutely do! Simply send us an email or give us a call and we can help with your order!
